More of this, please

In this week’s ‘More of this, please’ I was going to highlight a couple of political matters, but I decided to cast the light on airplanes and carriers.

First, Ghost of a Flea’s plea for a missive for Marketplace concerning the rudder problems on an Air Transat’s Airbus plane. Last year, I flew with Air Transat too (same plane I think), when I headed back to Europe and The Netherlands. The flight was reasonable pleasant, but I remember (when taking the first step in the plane) mentioning that the Airbus reminded me of a cattle wagon. It was fully booked, for sure and I was surprised that we were still able to actually have a seat on this flight.

Over at the BBC, a reporter tells his tale about flying in the Post-USSR era. It’s getting (slowly) better though.

Imagine, you’re on a flight from, say Tokyo to Chicago. Imagine that one of the washroom was occupied for the longest time. What would you do? Warn the crew? I would.

Fresh echoes of 9/11? Remember the KLM flight that was banned from entering US airspace? Newsweek claims to have more details about that particular flight.
