Dreaming Frame
PSP 7 - Intermediate Level
Supplies Needed:
Corner and Divider
Graphic of choice
Silver gradient, should already be in gradients as Metallic J
Open Dreaming image, duplicate, close original. Promote to Layer.
With colour picker, choose a dark color from your image in background colour box (right click).
Foreground colour box>white. In foreground styles box select a gold gradient.
1) With the Freehand Tool>Feather>22 >antialias unchecked,
draw around the girls head and shoulders.
You don't have to be super accurate with this *S*.
2) New Raster Layer.
3) Selections>Invert. Flood fill with silver gradient. Reduce opacity to about 70. Deselect
4) Image resize by 70%.
5) Layers> Merge all Flatten.
6) Switch foreground and background colours. Add 2px border.
Select with Magic Wand> Feather> 0> Antialias unchecked and floodfill with blue color.
Add another 2 px border. Change foreground to silver gradient and fill selected border.
There is no need to deselect, it happens automatically when you switch
foreground and background.
7) Switch colours. Add 50 px border> select with Magic wand and flood fill with foreground (blue).
Do not deselect.
8) Effects> Ulead> Particle> settings as per screen shot.
9) Inner Bevel, as per screen shot. Deselect.
10) Layer>Merge All Flatten. New Raster Layer.
11) Activate Silver corner. Copy.
12) Active framed image.
Paste as New Selection>Deselect.
Layers> Duplicate> Image Mirror.
Layers> Duplicate>Image> Flip.
Layers>Duplicate>Image>Mirror.
Layers> Merge All Flatten.
New Raster Layer.
13) Activate Silver Divider tube> Copy.
14) Activate Framed Image> Paste As New Selection,
with Mover Tool Place in centre of the top part of Frame. Deselect.
15) Layers>Duplicate. Image>Mirror.
16) Layers>Merge All Flatten.
17) Switch fore and background colours (blue should be in background).
Add 2px border. Select with Magic Wand> Feather> 0> Antialias unchecked.
Change foreground to silver gradient and fill selected border. Add 2 px border.
18) Add your watermark, Resize, Optimise and save as jpeg.
